The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has accredited Barau Dikko Hospital, Kaduna, to become
a teaching hospital of Kaduna State University.
The Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, Dr Usman Danfulani, disclosed this at a news conference in Kaduna on Monday.
He said the university had met the requirements for it to become a teaching hospital, adding that “the requirements include equipped laboratories, adequate teaching personnel.”
The commissioner added that the institution would design effective way to utilise the teaching hospital for three batches of its students who did not
undergo clinical training.
It would be recalled that in 2015, the last administration sponsored 25 students of the university to complete their medical studies at the University of Kampala in Uganda.
