Angolan firm AJS reports growth of nearly 50 percent in the last two years

Angola is fast rising to become one of Africa’s economic superpowers. Antonio J. Silva LDA Transportes e Logistica, AJS which has been leading the revolution in the country’s transportation industry has announced a company growth of nearly 50 percent and plans to further expand and diversify in 2016.

The company which is located in the thriving town of Viana, Luanda, wants to maintain its 41 years history of developing and supporting the Angolan economy through transport and logistics services provision.

According to a statement from the company, AJS results for 2015 was impressive. Milestones achieved included “A revenue increase of 10 percent augmenting the previous year’s increase of 35 percent; expanding into additional Angolan provinces – Zaire, Cuando Cubango, Cabinda, and Moxico; Involvement in fuel sector.”

Angola has a wealth of natural resources. The country is among the largest producers and exporters of petroleum not only in sub-Saharan Africa but globally. It is also the third largest producer of diamonds in Africa and analysts project production increases in the years to come.

Part of AJS plan for 2016 is starting seismic studies and later exploration in the Congo basin where it has a 10 percent share of ONSHORE CON6 Block. An estimated $8,800,000.00 will be invested in the exploration phase. The company has also received a 30 years approval to construct a mini hydro in addition to its production and energy distribution.
