MON, MAY. 08 2023-theGBJournal| David Moyes won a Premier League game against Manchester United for the first time since 2012 Sunday, as an error from Man United goalkeeper David de Gea saw the Hammers win by a goal to nil as they secured all maximum point.
The win moved West Ham to 37 points in the table, seven ahead of the relegation zone, while Erik ten Hag’s side remain fourth, still just one point clear of fifth-placed Liverpool, who have played a game more.
Man United’s side made three changes from their loss to Brighton & Hove Albion, with Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, and Wout Weghorst being brought back to the fold.
Tennahr sensation Alejandro Garnacho was included on the bench, West Ham brought Beck Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Nayef Aguerd, and Benrahma.
Man United play a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, while West Ham will play the Europa League semi-final first leg against AZ Alkmaar at the London Stadium.
Rashford or Trashford?
Marcus Rashford only has four goals and two assists in his last 15 matches in all competitions. He started this season as a striker with the drive to score 55 goals, but the usual inconsistencies we have known Rashford to display have come into reality.
He has struggled to put the ball into the net. There hasn’t been a tactical shift from what favored him. What has gone wrong? His poor form and Rashord link-up play are still ok, but he is a United scoring outlet, and when he doesn’t score, the team suffers, most times he is also zoned out, and his running skills have been cut out.
Declan Rice is a baller.
Doing more then intended, can he stay longer in his boyhood club or with big clubs lurking around? He is one of the most complete mid-fielders; he is the engineer of the team; their game play revolves around him; his calmness, positional awareness, and tactical flexibility have been crucial to this team.

De Gea and Lloris have the highest errors leading to goals; playing with his feet has been his weakness, his saves and reflexes have been his saving grace, but with his mistakes costing United, he needs to sit up or be prepared to be benched next season, they are already reported to be negotiating an extension of his contract.
The case is not settled.
Casemrio wasn’t at his best in this last match, he is picking poor form at the wrong time, United need him, he wasn’t expected. The last stretch of games is around the corner, United need all the help they can get to scale through.
United is in danger of missing the top four.
Ten Hang boys have experienced back-to-back losses, increasing the fading hope of Liverpool, United need to start winning games; any loss now would put pressure on them, they need to get the solution to win the next game.
Away form killing United
