Abu Dhabi, UAE and Waldwick, N.J. MON, NOVEMBER 12 2018-theG&BJournal-Riding the wave of shale drilling success that is transforming the U.S. energy landscape, America’s oil industry suppliers, engineering contractors, equipment manufacturers and services providers are bringing new power to the nation’s presence at ADPIEC 2018, November 12-15 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Frequently cited government studies predict the United States will be “energy independent” by 2022, even earlier in some scenarios. Behind the headlines, America’s innovative production methods, smarter technologies, resource management and speed to market are fueling the forecast.

As growth in domestic production drives America to become a leading oil exporter, it’s also driven some 150 innovative American companies to exhibit at ADIPEC this year. More than 100 of those exhibitors can be found in the USA Partnership Pavilion, organized for the ninth consecutive edition by the show’s U.S. representative, Kallman Worldwide, Inc., in coordination with government agencies including the departments of Commerce and State.

Located prominently in Halls 7 and 8, the Pavilion is America’s headquarters on-site: an efficient location for buyers to meet more U.S. suppliers, a professional business center for U.S. exhibitors to maximize their exposure and time at the event, and a forum for all to share ideas and insights.

From publicly traded stalwarts such as CIRCOR [NYSE: CIR], Honeywell [NYSE: HON] and National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV] to small-and-medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 500 employees, exhibitors in the USA Partnership Pavilion support a broad range of field, facility and end-use applications.

Notably, 12 of those companies are new to market, 15 are first-time show exhibitors and all are looking to generate new business and create jobs back home by growing exports, expanding overseas and/or recruiting international partners to establish or participate in U.S.-based operations.

“Our family’s been in business for 40 years and I’ve never exhibited at a trade show before, even though I’ve had one right in my backyard,” said Holbert Steel Vice President Don Holbert. Based in Lafayette, LA,

Holbert supplies 3,000-plus combinations of round bar solid, trepan and tube steel in more than 13 grades. He’s participating in ADIPEC for the first time as a co-exhibitor with LAGCOE, the Louisiana state organizer and presenter of its own home-based, namesake energy expo.

“In the United States, the machine shops that buy steel already know the main distributors who sell the raw material,” said Holbert. “Whether I land a potential customer or 10 meetings or not on this first trip, I know by taking this step into the Middle East as part of the USA Partnership Pavilion at ADIPEC, I’m going to meet someone and learn something that will make a difference in my business.”

That spirit of purpose and confidence defines America’s presence at ADIPEC 2018, said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO Tom Kallman.

“Now more than ever, success in international trade is driven by partnership and teamwork,” said Kallman. “The United States’ perennially strong presence at ADIPEC, amplified by the USA Partnership Pavilion, reflects our nation’s increasing market influence and commitment to building sustainable, mutually beneficial business relationships in energy sectors around the world.”
