WED, APRIL. 12  2023-theGBJournal |  Air Peace airline said Tuesday it is resuming its flight operations into Makurdi, the Benue State Capital.

The airline told theG&Bjournal that the flight operations will begin April 17, 2023 with three weekly flights from Lagos and Abuja.

Air Peace made its first commercial flight into Makurdi  7th December 2020.

When it was first launched, the Makurdi route, according to Allen Onyema, Air Peace, ”was part of the company’s original plan to connect cities within the country.”

With the landing, Air Peace became the first airline to operate a commercial flight to Makurdi.

The Airline, however, has had chequered history flying into Makurdi due to issues beyond its control, including the restriction imposed by the military on the use of the airport for commercial flights in 2021.

The airline says it does not foresee further disruptions in the near term as its management has vowed to make ”this return” sustainable.
