WED, AUGUST 08 2018-theG&BJournal-Communications Media Group (ACG), which recently rebranded from Africommunications Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Managing Director, Nonye Mpho Omotola. Co-Founder Mimi Kalinda will transition from the Managing Director role to take on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) function.

Founded five years ago as the first African-owned pan-African and fully integrated communications and public relations firm, ACG began by offering strategic, culturally-attuned services to clients in the social impact space. The agency has since expanded to servicing major multi-nationals across the continent in addition to clients outside of Africa’s borders with an interest in reaching stakeholders on the continent.

“The growth of ACG over the past five years both in our client portfolio and the services that we offer demands an experienced visionary with solid communications and public relations skills. This is a foundation which Nonye effortlessly brings to the firm. Her vision and passion for the development of Africa are also aligned to our core values as an agency. I am thrilled about her appointment, which I am confident will add tremendous value to ACG’s next phase of growth,” Kalinda said.

Omotola is a Communications and Brand Specialist with more than 15 years’ strategic brand experience gained in the UK, South Africa and Nigeria, contributing to a number of African media titles. Until recently, she was the Business Director, Africa, at Vuma Reputation Management.

“I am excited about the opportunity to drive and build the ACG team and to create an impact in Africa in the process,” says Omotola. “ACG is a Pan-African communications agency that understands the requirements of the global and pan-African client, servicing them with the highest regard for international best practices and a deep understanding of stakeholder sensibilities. The agency’s objectives are a match for my personal vision: taking cognisance of local insights and matching them to client’s business needs and enabling them to tell a more compelling African story. My goal is to further position ACG as the leading African-owned, Pan-African agency, producing communications strategies that are culturally attuned to the diversity of the continent”.-Distributed by African Media Agency
