…Nigeria’s Head Coach Jose Peseiro and players said they expect a tough match against Angola
FRI, FEB 02 2024-theGBJournal|Nigeria’s Super Eagles, today, will be in a tough fight against an unpredictable Angolan side in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
The Super Eagles, three-time AFCON winners, beat arch rivals Cameroon 2-0 to reach the quarter-finals, parading quality and experienced players.
Angola surprised by topping Group D in the Group Stages, unbeaten to reach this stage which incidentally is the first since 2010. The Team also parades the most potent attacks with nine goals in the four games played so far. They will be looking star striker Gelson Dala to lead the assault on the Super Eagles.
Angolan Head Coach, Pedro Goncalves warned that the match means a lot to his team and Angolans in general, and the game will be an opportunity to show case the teams worth.
