Enoch Adejare Adeboye, general overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), says he is quite concerned about the lingering problems of Rivers State, for which he has prayed to God to solve things for the oil-rich state.

Adeboye, while commenting during a visit to the state, which he noted had the second largest population of RCCG members in the country, said: “I was always concerned about the wellbeing of the people of the state.

“The Almighty God will let peace reign supreme in this state. There will be progress and development. Whatever little problem we may still have, God will settle them.”

Adeboye prayed thus while addressing Governor Nyesom Wike at Government House, Port Harcourt.

The RCCG general overseer, who is in Rivers State as part of his annual visit to the state, to meet with members of the church and pray for the state, offered special prayers for the people of Rivers State and the government of the state.

Governor Wike, when he received him in audience, said prayers of leading Christian leaders had been the sustaining force behind Nigeria, saying, “If not for the prayers of men of God, no one knows what would have happened to Nigeria.”

Wike thanked God for the exploits of the general overseer of RCCG, noting that he had been a vessel of God used in blessing Nigeria.

The governor said that his administration was anchored on God, while no step was taken without the government seeking the approval of God.

Adeboye, a former mathematics university professor turned preacher, is in Rivers for his annual ‘meet the members of RCCG’ January meeting.
