
TUE JULY 08 2025-theGBJournal| President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Monday formally declared open the National Conference on Public Accounts and Fiscal Governance, organised by the Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives, in collaboration with its Senate counterpart.
Represented by the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to deepening fiscal responsibility through bold and ongoing reforms in the public service.
Holding from July 6 -10, 2025 in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the strategic forum is convened to explore innovative fiscal reforms, strengthen public sector accountability, and lay the foundation for a more transparent and development-driven fiscal management system in Nigeria.
Monday’s Opening Ceremony was well-attended by distinguished stakeholders, including Members of the National Assembly, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Service Chiefs, heads of paramilitary organisations, development partners, civil society organisations, and other critical actors in Nigeria’s fiscal.
