WED, 23 DEC, 2020-theGBJournal- The Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities (ASUU) said Tuesday they are suspending their 10 month old strike action as the Federal Government begin payment of withheld salaries of striking lecturers.
The decision to suspend the strike follows the meeting Tuesday between ASUU and the Federal Government and comes shortly after the Minister of Labour and Employment Senator Chris Ngige announced that the Federal Government has met about 98% of the request of the ASUU.
