THUR, FEB 20 2020-theG&BJournal- The Minister of Niger Delta Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio has revealed that in addition to the lead consultant approved by the Federal Executive (FEC), the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will have a consortium of about nine other forensic auditors for the NDDC.
He told the press that one of the auditors will be in the head office to handle programs and financial audit of personnel.
He said the auditors will have an international flavour ‘’in case there are money that are denominated in dollars to be recovered.
The minister made the revelation after the FEC Wednesday approved the enlargement of the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission as well as the replacement of Joy Nunieh as NDDC Ag Managing Director with Prof. Kemebradikumo Daniel Pondei, a Professor of Medicine at the Niger Delta University, and former Provost, College of Health Sciences of the institution.
The President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier approved that the Interim Management Committee would be in place till the forensic audit of NDDC was concluded.
