WED MARCH 12 2025-theGBJournal| President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development with the steady progress of the 1,068km Sokoto-Badagry road project.

This transformative initiative is set to enhance connectivity, boost economic activities, and improve the quality of life for millions of Nigerians across the region.

The project underscores the President’s dedication to fostering national development through strategic infrastructure investments.

1,068km Sokoto-Badagry road project, initially flagged off on October 28, 2024, stretches from Illela town in Illela Local Government Area, Sokoto State through Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Ogun, Oyo and Lagos States.

The first phase of the project is expected to be delivered in 2027.

The project is expected to cost the Federal Government a total of N13 trillion with 52% of the road located in the North and 48% in the South.
