FRI FEB 28 2025-theGBJournal| Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said that his administration is committed to supporting local companies by fostering a business-friendly environment in the State.
The Governor gave the assurance today while speaking at the 15th Anniversary and Office Launch of Greenpeg Nigeria Limited, held at Ikeja.
Sanwo-Olu, who spoke through his Deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, added that such fostering will involve implementing policies that facilitate ease of doing business, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting a diverse and resilient economy.
His words, “Lagos State is the epicentre of Nigeria’s commerce and a hub for business and innovation. We are committed to supporting companies like Greenpeg Nigeria Limited by fostering a business-friendly environment. This involves implementing policies that facilitate ease of doing business, enhancing infrastructure, and promoting a diverse and resilient economy.”
While describing the event as a significant milestone for a company that has demonstrated remarkable strength, excellence, and a steadfast commitment to innovation and sustainability in Nigeria’s business landscape, Sanwo-Olu commended Greenpeg Nigeria Limited for its contributions to the development of the state and Nigeria.
He added that through job creation, nurturing local talent, and maintaining a robust commitment to professionalism, the company has been a pivotal player in driving the growth and progress of Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking further, the Governor highlighted that the contributions of Greenpeg Nigeria Limited aligns perfectly with his administration’s THEMES Agenda, particularly in the areas of Education and Technology and Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy, noting that by fostering skills development and bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.
Greenpeg, a leading industrial distribution, services and systems integration company, is empowering young engineers with the tools they need to excel in their careers. This, he said, not only enriches the state’s talent pool but also positions Lagos as a hub for technological innovation and advancement.
The Governor added that the company’s commitment to training and empowering young engineers also resonates deeply with the present administration’s expanded THEMES Plus Agenda, emphasising Social Inclusion, Gender Equality, and Youth, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of a more inclusive and equitable society.

In his welcome address, MD/CEO of Greenpeg Nigeria Limited, Mr. Bolaji Adekunle, affirmed the company’s dedication to investing in Nigeria while also emphasising its commitment to supporting the growth and development of the business industry in Lagos and Nigeria at large.
