THUR FEB 27 2025-theGBJournal| The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has signed the kidnapping prohibition amendment law 2025.
The State Government said the law is poised to give a bold face to extant laws against the act of kidnapping, as this will further ensure strict sanctions against criminality in Edo.
This move is coming after the Governor, launched a S.H.I.N.E agenda, to mark his 100 days in office.
According to the S.H.I.N.E agenda, security ranks top of the list, as Senator Monday Okpebholo, has promised to fight insecurity in Edo state.
Modern Response Team considers this law very timely, as it would give enormous strength to the fight against kidnapping in the state and create overwhelming assurance to security operatives in the state, that Edo has a governor that is behind them and would not rest until Edo is fully secured.
