MON SEPT 09 2024-theGBJournal| According to The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP), Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently ”unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.”
SERAP immediately called on President Tinubu to direct the SSS ”to end the harassment, intimidation and attack on the rights of Nigerians.”
SERAP reported the invasion via a short post on its X handle.
It is not clear why the state security agents are demanding to see SERAP’s directors, but some watchers say it could be because of SERAP’s vocal agitation for the release of the #EndbadGovernanceinNigeria some of who are currently facing trial for treason and financial crime.
