MON AUG 26 2024-theGBJournal|The U.S. Mission Nigeria, in a short statement today announced that they have moved to a new visa services provider.
The Mission provided a new website where applicants can schedule interview appointments (usvisaappt.com/visa/country?c…).
The U.S. Mission said the ”newly enhanced site is the official U.S website where you can create account, pay visa application fee, schedule your U.S visa appointment online.”
It is not clear why the U.S. Mission took the decision but many Nigerians praise the move, saying it could effectively shut out racketeers who wantonly bought out all appointment dates only to resell at exorbitant rates, while making it hard and nearly impossible for genuine applicants to find appointment dates.
According to the Mission, ”if you had an appointment scheduled on the previous website, your appointment remains on the original date you selected.”
It adds ”you will receive an automatic communication within the next two business days to email address you registered on the previous website. You do not need to contact us.”
