THUR JULY 11 2024-theGBJournal| In a spectacular display of goodwill and community support, MTN’s annual corporate social responsibility campaign, Y’ello Care, came to a triumphant close with a grand ceremony that left attendees inspired and uplifted.

The closing ceremony, which held at the MTN Plaza in Lagos, brought together MTN employees, partner organizations, and members of the community to celebrate the impact of this year’s Y’ello Care initiative.

The Y’ello Care event was a culmination of a month-long series of activities focused on education with the theme, “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow.”

During the ceremony, MTN executives highlighted the achievements of the campaign, including the rebuilding of classrooms, replacement of chairs and tables, provision of learning tools and holding sessions of vocational skills for Iwerekun Community High School students alongside the partnership of KNOSK for its ‘Study Better Packs’ Educational Initiative’. The company also announced plans for continued support for education.

Expressing gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of this year’s Y’ello Care campaign and emphasized the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves.

“When we embarked on this project, could not have anticipated the significant impact we would achieve. We have successfully created an environment that paves the way for a brighter future for these children, thanks to the generous contributions from everyone at MTN and our partners.

Over the past 30 days, we have truly embodied the spirit of giving, one of our most important values. Let’s celebrate our collective success,” said Modupe Kadri, Chief Financial Officer, MTN Nigeria.

As the ceremony ended, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose and a deep appreciation of the power of corporate social responsibility to transform lives and build a brighter future for all.

MTN’s Y’ello Care campaign 2024 may have ended, but its legacy of compassion, generosity, and communal spirit will continue to resonate as we look forward to Y’ello Care 2025.
