THUR, JAN 04 2024-theGBJournal| The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. on Wednesday assured Nigerians that there is no imminent increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.
The assurance follows widespread report that the state oil company was planning further fuel price hike as well as report of dispute with independent oil marketers on how much motorists will pay as retail price.
The NNPC Ltd., in response urged Nigerians to disregard the ”unfounded rumours” and assures that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.
”Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country,” the NNPC Ltd. urged.
