Benue state Governor Rev. Iormem Alia sets up Assets Recovery and facts finding Committees for the Benue State University

SUN, JUNE 11 2023-theGBJournal | Benue state Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has inaugurated two Assets Recovery Committees. One is to work at the state level, while the other at the Local Government level.

The committees are, among other things, mandated to ascertain all assets of the government including lands, vehicles, houses, furniture and other machinery.

Hingah Biem will Chair the Committee with Barr. Joe Abaagu, Hon. Dennis Akuram Hon. Ioryue Yajir, Peter Egbodo, Hon. Joseph Ojobom, Jonathan Modi, Barr. Shaageer Matins, Yuhe Jerome and Barr. Tom Uja

Barr. Tormbuwua Terlumun, a Member of the Committee will also serve as its Secretary.

Jude Tyo PhD the Committee at the LOCAL GOVERNMENT level. He serve with Barr. Aondowase Apera, Hon. Kwaghgba Amande, Richard Dzungweve, Rt. Hon. Anthony Sende, Olofu Ogwuche, Mr. Terver Kachina and Rt. Hon. Nick Eworo as Member Secretary.

The Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Sir. Tersoo Kula said in a statement released today that both committees will have able representatives from Department of State Security, the Police, the Military and Nigeria Civil Defence Corps.

Similarly, the Governor has inaugurated a Facts Finding Committee for the Benue State University (BSU) as follows;
-Rt. Hon. Paul Biam – Chairman
-Barr. Jacob Ajene
-Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange
-Prof. Eugene Alyegba
-Mr. Agbo Ochekpe – Member/Secretary

”The committee has been given its terms of reference and lifespan.” Kula said in the statement.
