TUE SEPT 08 2026-theGBJournal| The Executive Governor of Niger State, farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago said Monday the State Government has secured additional funding for the establishment of another 200 megawatts of solar energy with the target of reaching one gigawatt by 2030, while reaffirming his adminstration’s determination and commitment to making the State a major Solar Power Generating State.
Bago reaffirmed this when he received a team from ALDESA group, a subsidiary group under the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) specialized in renewable energy business.
He disclosed that bids have already been opened in that regard and requested CCECC to officially make a bid and the State government will eventually evaluate all bidding companies for the project.
Executive Director CCECC, Mr. Austin Qi had earlier made a presentation which featured the firm’s projects in Nigeria and other parts of the World was hinged on its commitment to safety, quality and sustainability.
He reiterated the firm’s commitment to continue its partnership with the Niger State Government for sustainable development.
