WED SEPT 02 2026-theGBJournal| Dangote Cement Plc will host a Capital Markets Day in London on September 21, 2026, as the company advances plans for a secondary listing of its shares on the London Stock Exchange.
The event follows the company’s May 12, 2026 announcement and subsequent shareholder approval of the proposed listing.
According to the company’s statement today, the Capital Markets Day will provide investors and other stakeholders with updates on its strategy, operations and business priorities, while giving them an opportunity to engage with senior management.
“Further details including the agenda and logistics will be shared in due course,” the company said, adding that presentation materials for the event would also be made available to the market in line with applicable disclosure requirements.
The planned London listing is part of Dangote Cement’s efforts to broaden its international investor base.
Dangote Industries President and Chief Executive, Aliko Dangote, had earlier said the company was pursuing a dual listing to give international investors greater access to its shares.
The development also comes amid increased capital-market activity across the Dangote Group.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery recently raised $2.5 billion through a private placement, underscoring the group’s growing use of capital markets to support its businesses and attract a wider pool of investors.
We note that the September Capital Markets Day is expected to provide international investors with greater insight into the company’s business and growth strategy ahead of the proposed London listing.
