MON APRIL 20 2026-theGBJournal| Senior staff of U.S. House Democrats held a remote high-level meeting today with representatives of former Vice President and presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, raising alarm over alleged threats to Nigeria’s electoral integrity.
The meeting, according to a statement on X by Von-Montague-York, L.C., addressed serious concerns regarding election integrity in Nigeria, including credible allegations that the current government is working to circumvent the will of the Nigerian people through electoral manipulation.
The statement said participants also examined broader concerns surrounding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s governing trajectory, including actions perceived as consolidating political power in a manner that could steer Nigeria toward a de facto one-party state.
