…The NASD Securities Exchange rebound, with both key indices advancing.

WED DEC 17 2025-theGBJournal| The Nigerian equities market continued the week with little movement, closing essentially flat. The NGX All-Share Index (ASI) inched up by a marginal 0.01% to settle at 149,459.11 points.

This slight gain pushed the market’s year-to-date return to 45.21%. Meanwhile, the total market capitalisation increased by N13.53 billion, closing at N95.28 trillion.

The market’s marginal gains were supported by renewed buying interest in select large and mid-cap stocks, most notably GUINNESS (+9.98%), CUSTODIAN (+7.84%), and SOVRENINS (+9.89%).

Their positive performance was sufficient to offset profit-taking activities in other mid-cap counters such as CHAMPION (-5.63%), NEM(-4.49%), and TIP(-3.75%).
