WED DEC 10 2025-theGBJournal| NNPC Limited upstream subsidiary, NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NNPC E&P Limited), on Tuesday reported its daily crude oil production hit 355,000 barrels per day on December 1, 2025, its highest in more than three decades.
The new high underscores the renewed momentum in Nigeria’s upstream recovery efforts.
”The figures show genuine transformation: average daily production surged 52 per cent, rising from 203,000 barrels per day in 2023 to 312,000 in 2025,” NNPC E&P Limited said in a statement released by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Andy Odeh.
The surge (by 52%) was achieved within the last two years, rising from 203,000 barrels per day in 2023 to 312,000 barrels per day in 2025, a performance the company attributed to strengthened operational systems, disciplined asset management and structured field development.
The company said the significant output reflects a step forward for Nigeria’s upstream sector and underscores the company’s ongoing transformation anchored on efficiency and discipline.
