TUE DEC 09 2025-theGBJournal| Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Tuesday announced at a stakeholders meeting at the Government House, that he is joining the ruing All Progressives Congress (APC).
”We can’t support mr president if we don’t fully identify with him, so we have taken that decision today,” Fabara said while announcing his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on whose ticket he became Governor of the oil rich state.
He adds that PDP failed to protect him, while his move is bordered on his loyalty to President Bola Tinubu.
Fubara’s defection comes four days after the State’s House of Assembly Speaker, Martin Amaewhule, and 17 other PDP officials decamped to the APC.
