TUE DEC 02 2025-theGBJournal| In an unexpected move, the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has resigned his membership of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Governor wrote his resignation letter to the Chairman of the PDP on the 4th November 2025, but the move was revealed late Monday.
He cited the current crisis of the national leadership of the PDP, and said his resignation is ”with immediate effect.”
”I thank the Peoples Democratic Party for the opportunities given me for my elections as a Senator (Represented Osun West) and as Governor of Osun State under the Peoples Democratic Party.” the Governor said in the letter he personally signed.
