FRI NOV 28 2025-theGBJournal| ”I am encouraged by the strong interest from international financiers, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said on Thursday, as he shared opportunities in Project Green, the Lagos Greenline Railway, with partners from the Federal Government, Federal Ministry of Finance (MOFI), and LAMATA at the Africa Investment Forum in Rabat, Morocco.
”Their response has gone well beyond our expectations and shows real confidence in the direction Lagos is heading, in our governance, our economy and our infrastructure plans.”
He noted that his government is shaping the future of urban mobility in Africa, and Lagos is moving forward with purpose and momentum.
The Green Line builds on the progress the State Government have already made with the Blue and Red Lines.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the project is key part of LAMATA’s Strategic Transport Master Plan and reflects his administration’s commitment to a transport network that is fully connected, easy to navigate and environmentally responsible.
”This 70-kilometre electric rail line will run from Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, helping to reduce congestion and supporting new commercial and industrial growth along the Lekki to Epe corridor,” the Governor said.
