SUN AUG 03 2025-theGBJournal| Governor Uba Sani has officially flagged off the 2025 Fertilizer Distribution Exercise in Kaduna State, distributing 400 trucks of fertilizer to 100,000 smallholder farmers.
In 2024, the State Government distributed 500 trucks of fertilizer free to over 120,000 smallholder farmers across the State, which significantly boosted agriculture yields.
The well-attended event, held at Murtala Square in Kaduna, reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment to inclusive development, food security, and rural prosperity through sustained agricultural transformation.
With this latest distribution, Governor Uba Sani has now distributed over 900 trucks of fertilizer to a total of 220,000 smallholder farmers across the state—making Kaduna the only state in Nigeria to consistently provide support of this scale to its farming population.
”This thoughtful initiative will undoubtedly boost agricultural productivity, enhance food security, and empower our smallholder farmers,” said Sadiq Mamman, State Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs.
