SAT JUNE 07 2025-theGBJournal| Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has visited Niger State pilgrims at Muna camp in Makkah, an annual practice for the Governor known as the Farmer Governor, for his extensive investment in agriculture.
His visit is aimed at showing love and concern about the wellbeing of his citizens on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The farmer Governor interacted with the pilgrims and commended them for their good conduct in the holy land while also acknowledging the efforts of the Amirul Hajj, Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims Board, and other officials for ensuring a seamless hajj rites for Niger State pilgrims.
He then announced a gift of SR300 (about N122,007) to each of the 3,026 Niger State pilgrims.
He reminded the Pilgrims that their return date will start from the 15th of June 2025 and urged them to continue to pray for the people of the State especially for the victims of the devastating flood disaster that occurred in Mokwa.
He equally assures that measures are already in place to assist the victims and to prevent future occurrence.
