SAT AUG 09 2025-theGBJournal| Nigerian telecommunication company, 9mobile on Friday unveiled its new brand name, T2, announcing its intention to drive Nigeria’s digital economy with the bold, youthful and innovative name.
Femi Banigbe, CEO of T2 said the new identity reflects the dynamism and resilience of Nigeria’s youthful population.
”This is not just a brand unveiling, it is the beginning of a bold new chapter in our history. It represents a renewed mission and promise to customers, and it goes beyond a new logo or tagline”Banigbe.
”It is a declaration that we are no longer who we were, but we are becoming something greater. We are becoming something more ambitious,” he added.
According to Banigbe, the transformation is aimed at positioning 9mobile as a custormer-obsessed, technology-powered, and digitally agile brand.
”We are becoming a platform for possibilities, a connector of dreams, and a catalyst for startup ecosystem, for creatives, for remote works, and for every Nigerian looking to do more.”
The rebranding comes a year after H Telecommunication Limited, a UK-based company acquired a 95.5 percent stake in the network provider.
