Two hundred and six physically challenged persons have applied for various automatic job offers to be provided by Gov. Tanko Almakura of Nasarawa State.
The governor recently promised to offer automatic employments to indigenes of the state living with disabilities.
Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Commissioner of Special Duties, Science and Technology, said on Friday in Lafia that 206 disabled graduates had applied.
“We are already considering the applications; some of the applicants had even visited our offices.
“The state assembly had already approved the budget for the employments, so we have no problem carrying it out,” he said.
Idris said that the applicants had been categorised according to their local governments to ensure fairness to all.
