MON, 14 DEC, 2020-theGBJournal- The President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, MRS. TOKI MABOGUNJE said Sunday, it is the Chamber’s hope that governments at all levels would continue to address the issues of enabling environment in the country, especially as regards infrastructures.
‘’We need to do this in order to fully harness the huge enterprising resource of domestic and foreign investors for the diversification of our economy and the welfare of our people,’’ she added during her speech to bring the 2020 Lagos International Trade Fair to a successful close at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
The Fair held hitch-free despite the challenges of transportation and logistics and covid-19 pandemic.
Toki paid tribute to the various actors that played a role in making the Fair possible, despite the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, including the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
‘’We applaud the disposition and commitment of Mr Governor to the promotion of close collaboration between the Lagos State Government and the organised Private Sector in Lagos State. We also appreciate his inclusive approach to governance. I must thank the Secretary to the Lagos State Government Mrs Folashade Jaji and the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon Lola Akande for their support and encouragement,’’ MABOGUNJE said.
She also placed on record the impressive role played by the members of the Trade Promotion Board of the Lagos Chamber, under the ‘’able leadership’’ of the Chairman, Mr Gabriel Idahosa.
‘’The result of their commitment is the remarkable outcome that we have all witnessed for the past nine days. It is no doubt a very demanding project.’’
